rifle stock blanks

Post by ghostrider »

any stock makers on the forum?

I'm looking for inexpensive 2 piece rifle stock blanks since I won't likely find a factory replacement
for my Savage 1914 pump 22 rifle.

thanks.

here's one place that may have the finished product

http://www.gun-parts.com/savagestocks/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I've found parts for guns that I was told may not even exist from Bob's before. There are most likely lots of other shops as well. Even Numrich has some "hard to find" stuff sometimes.

found several places that sell blanks. Not any that sell one cheap enough for what I want.
Also, I'm trying to find some specs on the factory stock so I know what size it needs to be.

I emailed them and haven't heard back yet. Savage Arms pointed me to a fellow who is a historian of
sorts for Savage Arms (but not a an employee). I've written him asking for information.

Good luck with it. I'm sure there's just the right pieces of wood out there...somewhere.
