Wife and I went to the Mesquite Rodeo Gun Show Saturday and a nice DPMS flat top carbine followed me home. Got it, 30 round mag and a soft tactical case for $695 out the door. Bought some extra mags and an Explorer red/green 2x retical sight as well. Hope to go to the range this week. Broke it down and gave it a good lubing, etc. First time to tinker with an AR. It was easier than I thought.
Good question! I've got a buddy that's a member at the Grand Prairie Gun Club, may go one night this week, he's going to give me the low-down on all of the ins and outs of the rifle. Know any good indoor ranges (read A/C) for the AR?
That looks like the one i picked up a few weeks ago as well. Great gun so far for considering its my first ar as well. I can see why people spend money on these things, they are so addicting. Have fun shooting it!

Gratz on the purchase, have fun and learn a lot. The AR platform is one of the easiest rifles to shoot aside from maybe a 10/22. Its really loud for such a small round but the recoil is almost non existent.

Damn, don't have enough cash, these things never follow me home. They choose only those who are full of money, such discriminatory items, these things...
