Found the 14 rounders on the S&W website. Had to do some digging.

Re: Help me choose a .45 ACP
Just joined the M&P club. 4.5" barrel with trijicon nite sites.
$499.00 out the door at Independance Fire Arms in Brenham. These guys have some serious inventory.
Took a close look at a Springfield Loaded but it was $750.00 and the wife was standing there .
 .
Need to find me some HSM ammo.
Will shoot it tomorrow.

1 vote for the XD .45 compact. Two guns in one. The wife is comfortable with the safeties, and probably a good choice for my first carry gun.

Brenham might be a good day trip from Alvin if they got that much stuff. What about 1911s and holsters and mags and such?

It's worth the ride. It was about two hours from Friendswood. I called and checked to see if what i wanted was in stock before making the drive.glbedd53 wrote:Brenham might be a good day trip from Alvin if they got that much stuff. What about 1911s and holsters and mags and such?
Use a gps it''s in the middle of no where.
They have everything for a shooter. Saw plenty of 1911's, mags and holsters, targets, ammo and such. Think i saw some reloading stuff.
I'll go back up the next time i'm in the market for something,
They had a ton of long guns in every type including 50 cals and the handgun cases were packed with inventory.

Yep, we're gonna go Saturday and spend the night.
