Events calendar?
I'm sick as a dog with the granddaddy of all colds. About the only thing I can do is stay on the sofa and watch TV or play on the computer. That's the only reason I've been able to load the new logo for TexasIDPA.com that Ryan did for us and I still need to play with the ones Skiprr did for TexasCHLforum while I was at NRA HQ. What does this have to do with the subject of this post? Nothing . . . I'm just complaining and since neither my wife or the dogs will listen, you folks get to hear it.
We have a good number of people getting together in various parts of the State for TexasCHLforum gatherings. I could easily set up an events calendar if it would be of any use to you folks. It would be a link to another site, rather than a calendar here on the forum. (I'm not sure a calendar can be added here.)
This idea may simply be the product of a sleep-deprived, incredibly bored mind, but if you folks want it, I'll set it up.
Chas.

Man. I need to remember that line for next year on NFL Playoff Finals Sunday!Charles L. Cotton wrote:I'm sick as a dog with the granddaddy of all colds. About the only thing I can do is stay on the sofa and watch TV or play on the computer.

My wife even tried to convince me today that I was sick and couldn't go to work. It may have had something to do with the Crickett we just bought for our 4yo, and her desire to get to see him shoot it. But it was only an hour before the start of my shift, the shift is already short-handed, and conscientious-ole-me drug myself to work, where I couldn't watch the games, only keep up with the changing score via ESPN Gamecast.
I think an events calender would be great. That's one of the big shortcomings (among many) of phpBB. I also own a forum using phpBB, but my next one will run SMF.
A calendar would let folks enter not just get-togethers, but matches, gun shows, birthdays, etc.
