Thanks for info but have to agree that I dont agree with this guy. He says a .40 cal is a great defense round but then goes on to say that the 10mm isnt what they thought it would be. Most 10mm ammo today is loaded down to the point .40 or 10mm are basically the same. How can one round be good and the next is soso? There basically the same.

Gosh, that bit has been going around for a long while. I think it is at least 10 years old. Yeah, the 10mm thing never made any sense. Even the down loaded Hydra shocks are still a little faster then most .40 S&W and the hot stuff from companies like DT, and BB are way different then .40S&W. Isn't this the same guy who recommended Glaser ammo all those years back. Correct me if I am wrong.

Go heavy or go home! It's kind of funny how times change though. I remember when the 135-155 grain .40 S&W was popular with LE. Heck I even carried some 155 for a while because that was the "real man stopper". Now almost all the agencies are going with 180 grain or 165. All the data is leading to penetration before energy in the last few years. 12 inches the FBI says, that is going to be hard with these light rounds! Same with the whole 185 grain .45acp phase. What was that all about?
