Range Report: New Glock 21SF

Post by C-dub »

My wife got me this for our 20th Anniversary yesterday. I cleaned it good last night and took it to the range today. I took the 22 and the new 21SF.

Love the 21SF!!!

I had 30 rounds left in a box of .40, so I shot that at one target and then got another target and shot 30 rounds of .45 at that. The difference was remarkable. With the .40, all the shots were sprinkled around the bulls-eye and 9-ring, with one round in the 8-ring. With the .45, the bulls-eye was nearly obliterated with many rounds in the 9-ring and none in the 8-ring.

I also remembered that I recently discovered that I am left eye dominant, but shoot right handed. I have always shot right handed, but using my left eye for sighting. Today I used my right eye. With the .40 I did shoot a little better, but still blinked most of the times when the gun fired. With the .45 I also used my right eye and don't think I blinked at all, which may have contributed to better results.

Nice wife!! The 20/21 SF platform is great. My buddy has a 21SF and it is a lot easier to get back on target then my Glock 20 10mm but both are equally accurate but it doesn't surprise me that you shot your .45 better then the .40 S&W. Most people do!

It's the standard vanilla Glock 21SF. If I figure or remember how to do the image thing I will. I kept the two targets, so I may even put those images up. As far as paper with holes goes, they are more interesting to me in this case.

What a great present! I've been eyeballing .45 glocks as a "someday" gun. Can't decide between the 21 or the 30sf.

I will eventually also have the 30SF, that is why both of my .40's are up for sale.

Congrats on the new Glock, the 21SF is one of the next guns I plan on picking up after the first of the year.
