...where it comes to first shot up in my .45...historically, I've led with a Glaser Safety Slug...since the 70s when Jack Canon sent me a coupla boxes to try...never had a problem with it not cycling, though I've heard some smaller guns don't always...but this article by our Steven Camp got to me...and I will be ordering some DPX...

DPX is very good. I find it more accurate with less kick than other +p rounds.

I have also shot a pork roast with it. It opened just like advertised and penetrated about 17 inches.

I shot the same pork roast with RBCD and it did just like advertised as well. It produced a hole about 5-6 inches in diameter and about 5 inches deep with some fragments penetrating to about 8 inches.

Both were 9mm rounds. I don't think I would want to be shot by either one. I carry RBCD on top followed by DPX.

...the only Glaser shooting I personally knew about, a burglar turned and aimed at our favorite security guard, who put one in his head from about 45'...and the guy went down like a sack of clams...the coroner swore he'd been shot with a shotgun at close range...till we proved different..my niggling worry is if the shot's partially obstructed with an arm or wall...I'll lose my penetration...so I'm going to these new-fangled DPX...just keep readin' 'bout folks who're delighted with them...

Rbcd is a frangible like glaser. I shot pork roast with glaser and magsafe too. The results were similar to RBCD but with smaller holes. I believe RBCD is made in Texas.

If you want penetration, you want DPX.
