Does Texas have a "3 strikes" law?

Does Texas have a "3 strikes" law? If someone had two prior felony convictions (two separate incidents, years apart) in a different state, and then got a third felony conviction in Texas, does that mean automatic life in prison?

Just curious (it sure ain't me I am wondering about). :shock:

Like my facebook status, it's complicated. Take a look at section 12.42 of the penal code.

...I think that's because of governmental programs like "Paid Proliferation" and such...
