Looks like the LC9 in the SmartCarry is moving the Colt D frame into retirement.

If that Micro Compact .45 turns out to be reliable in function, you are going to be very pleased with the accuracy of such a small 1911. I had one with a rail and sold it because I didn't like the rail. It was a very accurate little 1911.

Now my EMP 9mm and Ultra Compact .45 fills the void.

They both shot extremely well today.

Ran FMJ and HP ammo like little champs.

I've chosen the Colt and put the Micro on GB.

So be it.

good for you in giving them an equal opportunity to impress you with performance. Considering that you seemed to experience satisfaction with both, I would guess the decision came down to fit, finish, overall quality and value. For the "long haul", I would lean towards the Colt as retaining value.

For whatever reason you made your decision, I agree with keeping the Colt.

That's a fair question.

I've sent two 1911's to my gunsmith, bought a Ruger LC9 and a Crimson Trace laser, and bought three more compact 1911's within the last couple of weeks. In round numbers that been well over a $3,000 layout.

So, in needed a couple of quick sales to replenish my gun fund. The Citadel went locally, and the Micro went on GB.

GB gives maximum exposure and presented the best avenue for selling it quickly.

Now I'm not quite as broke as I was yesterday.

I have, however, listed my prized Colt snub carry gun in the classifieds here.
