1911 Officers Replacement Spring Plug
Clark Custom Guns makes a nice, beefy one in either blue or stainless. Drop in with no fitting required.
A little wet and dry paper and Flitz works well with the stainless plug.

Yep, I put one of those in mine a while back. Looks a lot stronger than the factory one.
