Do you think something so Chuck Norris like would go unnoticed by the media? Newspaper, TV, somebody would spread the word of this event. The dude is just making up a story, no big deal. Hollywood rules.

If its's on the internet it must be true. No, I didn't see or hear anything backing up this story in the paper, on the internet, onthe radio or tv. But, I did see it on several message boards so it must've really happened.

Good story, but not sure it's true. I watch the news and read ABC website a few times a day, didn't see anything about this. But yes a good reason to always carry, not stop in an area you don't know, and pay attention to what's around you.

Well, I guess Operation Fast & Furious didn't happen since it took the NYT 8 months to finally report it.

Thats the one I check first. I am also on several other gun fourms that have the news all over them. Never said a word about them being the "truth" Simpley said if was true it would be on the news somewhere. Stuff like this makes the news.

Some of these gun stories get posted on several major boards.....by the same guys.

I don't care if you people don't want to believe it.

The third photograph offers a somewhat discernible license plate. Someone with access to proper databases could run the plate, and cross reference to get the name of the vehicle owner. Appears to be TP3( or 1) 494. The name *might* show up in a lexisnexis search regarding a carjacking...

HOWEVER, look at the photos and note all the green trees & vines, and green weeds/grass in a gravel parking lot..........during drought conditions....while I understand the OP is simply re-posting, it would say that this doesn't appear to be a recent event. Not a storage lot in Houston that looks like this (as green) today.

And, look at the damage to the vehicle. Damage is to the undercarriage. Look how the drivers side wheel and control arm was ripped out from under the truck. The almost 360 degree photos show no frontal, or side impact to the vehicle in any way above the lower bumper line, other than some scraping to the drivers side fender/doors, again, all "lower" damage. Grab the steering wheel on an overpass, an your hitting a concrete barrier. The damage on this vehicle appears to be cause by contact with culvert or low profile stationary object.

Lastly, you can't see alot of the windshield, but there's no sign of impact from a head. In fact, the windshield is pushed inward, as if the rescue teams kicked it in to get to the driver, hence the brown towel in the first photograph that may have been used to shield the driver.

Thats why I don't completely stop at stop signs if I'm in a rough part of town or an area that looks rough that I'm not familiar with..... especially if there are bullet holes in that particular stop sign.

Sounds plausible to me although I'm not sure why they would need to pry the driver out, it doesn't look like it's that dented in, although maybe it was more dented in before they pried his sorry self out. Regardless, carry 24/7 indeed.

It didn't make the news because a carjacking in that area is not news.
