Can you get a package deal? It seems a shame to throw out good art just because the canvas shuffles off this mortal coil.canvasbck wrote:NEVER budget shop for tattoos or a taxidermist, it's supposed to last forever.

If your going to throw out Leviticus 19, it does not really apply to this discussion unless you happen to believe we (believers) are still under the old laws. Other parts of that chapter also say that you are not to cut your hair or trim your beard, and to not eat the fruit off a tree you planted for three years.Commander Cody wrote:Leviticus 19:28 'You shall not make any cuts in your body for the dead nor make any tattoo marks on yourselves: I am the LORD.
Nuff said.
I will admit to considering a zipper over my knee scar, or a choo choo train.canvasbck wrote:I have four tats, tribal art on my right leg, a cobra wrapped around my left leg with his hood spread on the calf, a leather arm band with feathers on my left arm, and a zipper on my right shoulder. The only one with a real "story" is my zipper tattoo. Following my third major shoulder surgery, I had a pretty ugly scar down the back of my shoulder. I got the artist to cover the scar with a zipper, hopefully that will make it easier for the next surgery.![]()
For those of you asking about the cost of a tat.............NEVER budget shop for tattoos or a taxidermist, it's supposed to last forever.
It was not meant to be that way, just poorly worded on my part..........my apologies for coming off that way. I have edited to avoid the appearance of a personal attack.Commander Cody wrote:Is this a personal attack? Just sayin’….
I, along with most people who have tattoos, totally respect that. Your body is a temple......so is mine, I just added some stained glassCommander Cody wrote:Let me add at this time… I have nothing against tattoos on other folks. I was just stating why I would rather they not be on me.
I don't recommend the zipper.......the artist did too good a job of covering the scar, now I have to explain it to anyone who looks close enough to recognize that it's a zipper.jimlongley wrote:I will admit to considering a zipper over my knee scar, or a choo choo train.canvasbck wrote:I have four tats, tribal art on my right leg, a cobra wrapped around my left leg with his hood spread on the calf, a leather arm band with feathers on my left arm, and a zipper on my right shoulder. I can't answer for schufflerbot, but can say that mine from 3 years ago, have the same vivid colors as they had then.mamabearCali wrote:do the colors stay like that or do they fade like the old tattoos of yesteryear?
