When Springfield replaced my XD9 they sent the replacement directly to me. They also sent 2 checks to reimburse me for the shipping. The new one came as sold with new mags & brush.

It seemed the slide was not properly heat treated. If I put around 100 quick rnds out of it the recoil spring assembly would slip through the hole in the end of the slide. They thought it was the spring assembly, replaced it sent it back same problem.

Recently I sent my Beretta back to the company and they replaced it with a totally new gun. Came directly to me!!

It had an enclosed letter stating that the new gun replaced the old gun and they referenced the serial numbers of both.

They will send it back directly to you.

FYI - Got a letter last week from Ruger that indicated they will send me a new replacement gun but it will have to go through a FFL. Guess different companies handle this type of transaction differently.
