Yup, this is a great place. The folks are friendly and professional. The range is great. They have a nice assorment of rental iron, and new guns for sale, too. I go on my lunch break. Stress relief!

I took my CHL Renewal class out there two Sundays ago with Richard from PersonalPerimeter.com. He's a great instructor and entertains the class with various videos. Overall, I am glad the range is only a 10 mins drive my house. Like someone posted earlier, the people there are nice and helpful. BTW, thanks for the help Paul. I'll probably hit the range in a week or two after my summer school class is over. :txflag: :patriot:

How much do they charge for a lane rental? Military discount?

I think I went once and the fee was around $15...

A lane is $16.50; I believe military is $12.50

Great Southwest appeared on Bravo's "Most Eligible Dallas" this week. Two of the cast went to learn how to shoot. It was only a short segment, but the cast members managed to squeeze in some reality gems like "in Texas, like 90% of people carry guns" and "if I got a gun, it would have to be like covered in jewels or really pink. But pink jewels would be too much."
The episode "Make love not war" is being replayed Saturday at 4:00 pm.

Well look at ya all famous and stuff Paul. On tv and all. Seriously this is the best Indoor range in D/FW. PERIOD!! :thumbs2: Right priced, Good people behind the counter, And the owner actually works there plus he's an actual tournament archery shooter. So for all you archers it's a great place too, to talk shop, buy product and get your bows and arrows made, fixed, etc. This is THE best place for first timers to go. You won't feel intimidated and the guys will go out of their way to make sure you have fun and have a great experience you will want to tell your friends. Afterwards you'll feel like this guy here. :woohoo :fire :anamatedbanana Plus they do gunsmithing on the spot just ask for Mark and he'll make it the way you want it. They also do custom builds. But whatever you do don't just take my word go and see for yourself. They are close to 360 & Division/Main in Grand Prairie. Easy to get to from just about anywhere in D/FW and worth the drive if further away. I go in there about 3 times a month I'm the red head with plenty of jokes just look for me and Say howdy. And if you go in because of this Your welcome in advance. LOL.

Have to add to all the positive comments:

I really enjoy shooting here! It is just a few minutes from my house. Staff is always great and the facilities are top notch. I used to go out to Winchester but no more.

I'll be taking my CHL class there on Saturday and I'm looking forward to many more shooting trips in the future.

i read on their site that the lanes are climate controlled.
Can anyone speak to shooting there in this cooler weather?
I've been to other "climate controlled" indoor ranges in the summer and it wasn't fun at all.

It has been fairly comfortable every time I've gone. It's been as warm as about 80 degrees and as cold as mid 30s outside when I've gone.

I was there one day when it was 105 degrees outside and it was about 90 degrees inside. I don't hold it against them though. If they kept it at a constant 80 degrees they probably couldn't afford to stay in business or if they did we probably wouldn't be able to afford to shoot there. Any other time I have been though, it has been great.
