Good Houston Area gunsmith needed for an AK

Post by jframe.38 »

I have an AK that has the piston rubbing against the gas tube causing multiple ftf, fte etc. I need a great trustworth gunsmith in the Houston area.

This firearm is important to me. It was a highschool graduation gift from my father, and I want to get it back into working order.

Please help. If anyone knows a good gunsmith with experience on the AK platform (and particularly this issue) please let me know.

I know there is a local Houston shop that builds custom AK's and Saiga 12's. I see them at all the local gun shows but cannot remember their name. Someone will chime in I'm sure. If they can build them from scratch per custom order I'm sure they could repair one.

You might be thinking of TAC47 Industries.
