This time I intend to use my time a little more wisely, see some sights...some shows...eat some good food. Any recommendations on what to do?

+1 for Hoover Dam and Binions.
If the weather is good, rent a Harley and take a run up to Valley of Fire. I'm not usually a Harley fan but they make it easy to do a day rental from the strip and its a comfy ride.
Have fun.

+1 on Fremont at night, best free show in Vegas
If it's still open, Emerils in MGM is a fantastic place to eat.

Already done the Harley trip- took my softail up there for a Rally when I was stationed in San Diego....
I need to start googling what shows are playing. Also want a nice romantic place to grab dinner- we are celebrating her birthday early (she is a new years baby)

Don't know about the shows, but the roulette tables at MGM were very, very good to me...just playing black or red. The Pit Boss wanted to borrow my black felt Resistol that evening to go gambling. I think Ceasar's has a pretty cool classic and high-end car show, but don't know if that's a year-round deal.
Also, my son (Senior in college) and some of his friends are flying out to Vegas tomorrow returning on Wednesday. If you could kindly follow them around the whole time and keep him out of trouble, I would appreciate it...
He has a very good head on his shoulders, I'm not too worried...

I just did my 25th there and Jersey Boys and Carnivore were just the best. But if you can't find anything pleasing in LV you are a text book DUD! Have fun.

The next time I go to Vegas, I plan to tour the Shelby American plant and museum.
The sooner I get behind, the more time I have to catch up.

Hahaha. I told my wife about that earlier. She said "I don't understand what happened.."
Me neither. We arrived last night about 8, checked into our room.. And headed down to Planet Hollywood. Mrs Snatchel wanted to have a few long islands and watch the go-go dancers. I lost $8 to slot machines. Ate Bills Steakhouse and had a prime rib that had been cooked in an oven. Not the greatest--possibly the wOrst prime rib I have eaten.
Today we walk the strip....
