Republic Arms Question

I purchased a Republic Arms .45 "Patriot" subcompact around 1998 (before my 1st CHL expired some years ago ). I apparently purchased this before Cobra bought the company and the quality took a nosedive. There were only 857 of these guns manufactured, as my research tells me... I have never had any problems with mine and would like to put it in the rotation in an IWB.

Here is where my question lies. The company closed down years ago, and I have not been able to find any holster makers that carry this model as an option. Does anyone know of another firearm with the same profile as this one, by chance, that could be used as the mold? I'm not sure if I am qualified to build one myself, but necessity is the mother of invention...

Any help would be appreciated...

While I am certainly no expert with this weapon, just from a quick google search and looking at the photos of it that came up.
It looks similar sized to the Springfield XDSC, maybe the a Glock 26 or 19 (or whatever the .45 caliber versions are)

if you were to order a kydex holster from Crossbreed or Comptac (or other manufacturer) for a gun like the Springfield XDsc or Glock 26, you can always heat up the kydex with a hair dryer and remold it to fit your needs.

I did that with my Crossbreed that I bought for a Taurus PT111 and then switched to the Springfield XD9sc (which also fits closely my wifes Glock)

there are also a few people on this board who have fashioned their own holsters and possibly if they are in your area, they may be willing to work with you to make one for your weapon directly....

Thanks Teamless. I am actually taking my son to the range tonight before he heads back to school, and plan on shooting the Patriot. They have a large number of rentals and I'm pretty sure I can find something close to match up. The specs on the Glock 26 and XD seem to be pretty dang close. Also, from what I have read about kydex, I think I could heat and reshape that stuff 'til the 'cows came home' and it would still be fine. Aaahhhhh...an opportunity to learn something new...
