16 good years
Today marks the end of 16 years of legal concealed carry in this great state. We will never know how many crimes have been prevented because we carry. Most Texans go about their business oblivious to the half million or so of us that do carry. That is good. There are those who do know and trust and respect us. I was in a Chase bank before Christmas and used my ATM card to ask a teller for bills of specific denominations to give as gifts. He asked for my DL and I couldn't find it quickly so asked if my CHL would work. The teller said he gets those all the time and handed over the bills. Here I was, an armed stranger and he had no fear. Made me proud.

Amen - but let's not rest on our laurels, we have to keep pushing, each legislative session. The best defense is a good offense, and all that.fannypacker wrote:Today marks the end of 16 years of legal concealed carry in this great state. I'll put in my plug for Jerry Patterson for Lt. Governor in the 2014 election - he's starting early! You can get on board here:

I'll quit carrying a gun when they make murder and armed robbery illegal
