Pocket Carry M&P 9c?

Post by lama »

Ok got my wife interested in the idea of carry (won't do it while with me but wants to while out alone) and she really likes the M&P 9c. I think I could do with a smaller carry peice and if she gets one I might use it as excuse to get one for myself also ( excuse to her, I never need an excuse). Was thinking about pocket carry when I am dressed down. Think sweats. I am a big guy and think it could work but not sure they make pocket holsters for them.
Ok on to the questions. Any one know of a good pocket holster these would fit? And anyone tried this at all? If so, opinions?

...a pocket holster would be an easy thing to make from an old purse, business satchel, even heavy denim...you could cut it to fit the pocket you're wearing it in snugly...one caveat would be to be sure to cover the entire trigger guard area...leather or naugahide type material...here's one factory made one http://www.donhume.com/index.php?main_p ... beljt744o1" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The pocket holster is the easy part. Will that pistol fit in your pocket and be concealed? Can you draw cleanly? Do your sweatpants stay up with a loaded M&P 9c in the pocketses?

Yes the pistol will fit I have made the pockets large on a personal preferance (big hands didn't fit in old pockets) and I can hook a comp-tac iwb with a fullsize m&p 40 itdoes not carry well or draw well but it work for wondering around the house\yard walking the dog on my days off. I think a 9c in the pocket would carry much better

I carry the 9 compact IWB and I think it would be a problem to pocket carry unless you have some baggy pants. Best thing is to find one in a gun shop and see how it would work for you. The M&P compact is a terrific gun, I love to shoot it and carry it. Wife likes it also :thumbs2: . Dear Santa, please bring me an M&P .40 compact for Valentine's Day.

LoL. I made a pocket holster out of one of the leather holsters for a blackberry. Fits my bodyguard .380 perfectly..... I just cut a "combat cut" into it for grip.

De Santis Nemesis works well for most guns. I have carried Browning Hipower Detectives, 3 inch 1911s and a glock 26 in them. I have a M&P 9c. I find it just a little too wide and long to pocket carry unless I have really big pockets.
