Recommended Criminal Lawyers in Houston
Anyone here knows a good criminal lawyer in Harris county just in case you need to defend your actions(hope it will not happen in this chaotic world)--- Post Shooting a BG/perp? A lawyer who is also a CCW holder and known pro gun.

When I attended the CHL course from Jim Pruett of Pruett's Guns and Ammo (http://www.jimpruett.net), he had cards from a David W. Kiatta, R.C - Attorney at Law. His card says "Board Certified in Criminal Law". I don't know of his background, but I kept the card just in case, as I don't have any other names.
If anyone wants his info, PM me. He has his office and pager number on the card.

DFW area/
Anyone got a recommendation for DFW area?
Perhaps one of those Harris County attorneys would recommend a colleague in this area?

No, it's not a joke, that really is the man's website. In addition to an entertaining domain name, the website also has some information for defendants that would be hilarious if it weren't actually necessary for some of his clients. http://misdemeanorstomurder.com/courtroom.html
Charles maintains offices in both Houston and Dallas. Fortunately haven't needed his services but, he was a regular customer at Top Gun and a student of mine. FWIW, I think he's a good guy even though he's apparently a successful criminal defense attorney. He's the guy I'm going to call if I ever have to poke a hole in anyone.

When you take the time out of your day to beat someone, it has a much longer lasting effect on their demeanor than simply shooting or tazing them.

I'm not sure if this is the same guy because Houston is a pretty big place, full of attorneys, too!Bill wrote:Roger Bridgewater
Mike Lavage
two names I know
I was a private investigator in Houston for years and if you are talking about
Michael Laviage with Laviage & Steinman, they are primarily personal injury and divorce attorneys.
If they have begun to practice criminal law I would like to know it. Mike and Peter are both great guys and know their law to the letter. How they stand on gun control I don't have a clue.
Anyways just thought I would drop in on the thread. Brought back some cool memories.

The world is a dangerous place to live....not because of the people who are evil, but because of the people who don't do anything about it!
