Walther P22 extended barrel... FFL needed?

Post by Teamless »

My Brother in law has a Walther P22 and is looking to order the extended barrel for it.
Does it need to be shipped to an FFL or can it come direct?

of course, when he orders it from a dealer, they will say, but until that happens, curious of your thoughts.

Thanks

In the USA, a barrel is just parts in most cases. The receiver or action is the firearm for legal purposes. In the case of the P22, that's the plastic piece.

You can order it direct. Barrels arent firearms. Brownells sells an adapter for the p22 to screw an AR silencer right on. I have one on mine and it works great.
