First impression: Man is this stiff.
Has anyone else got one?
Don't know if I like it yet. It does the job but I do not know if it does it any better than a regular belt.

+1 I also have a Crossbreed belt and two of the Blackhawks, and like them better. They were much cheaper too! I got both belts for $30 all together. They were on clearance I believe.Teamless wrote:I have 2 of them and love them!
they are very stiff, which is what you want.
i think they are better than my $80 Crossbreed belt!
What is the velcro used for? Do you use it?RPB wrote:I have not tried the Crossbreed Kydex reinforced nor the Blackhawk Kydex reinforced
I wear the CompTac Contoured Kydex Reinforced with Velcro sewn in...and have for years ...which I don't believe any of the others make.
Hand Made in Texas, for Texas Jobs, with Texas Quality.
That is exactly what I find. A regular belt is fine for IWB for the same reasons. It is actually better. Some say the cheap belts will wilt faster but they areolafpfj wrote:I have a comptac reinforced belt and I like it for OWB but not so much for IWB. The problem with IWB is that because it is so stiff it digs in a bit on the opposite side of the holster. My left hip/waist get a bit sore after a while. I generally wear just a regular Kohls cheap leather belt with my comptac minitaur holster and it conforms to me better and doesn't dig in. I'm still (although its changing rapidly) a relatively thin guy so I don't have a lot of padding.
OWB you want the exact opposite so the stiff belt is ideal for that, but I don't generally carry that way.
