Browning Service/Repair Dept.?

I just packed up my Buck Mark to send to browning/Winchester service. After the first 400 or so rds, it began stovepiping many times per magazine with bulk ammo, and occasionally with CCI Mini mag. Also, regardless of ammo, it fails to lock back after the last round 50% of the time. If I'm "limp wristing" a .22lr, I'll turn in my man card. This failure to lock back sometimes results in a dry fire, because I don't know the mag is empty. This dry fire, of course, is not good for the firing pin, and has nicked the breach face. While I don't think that will effect accuracy, it does devalue the weapon.

So hence my question. Has anyone had recent experience with the Browning service dept.? Browning, like Ruger, lists no warranty period. I've had the gun since new for 7 months. The rep I spoke to could not say if I would be charged for anything, and that would be up to the repair dept. At the very least, i want the problem fixed, and a new barrel due to the damaged breach face. Browning does not provide a shipping label, and return is at your cost. I've been thrilled with Springfield and Sig service, so I'm hoping for the same here. Any input on Browning repair dept. will be appreciated. They also own/repair Winchester, so recent experiences with that brand will help also. TIA.
