I wonder if there is any specific "back story" in one or more of the past cases or if this is a matter of an anti-gun rights person stepping into a position of power.

This is a bad thing?"An increasing number of intruders in St. Louis are being gunned down by homeowners"

Lol, they make it sound like a bad thing, lol, but I guess it is for the intruders. The question is do we or should we care?! An intruder into my home doesn't deserve the time of day.

Actions have consequences. One of the consequences of breaking into somebody's home is getting shot. One of the consequences of shooting somebody is getting scrutinized.

The alternative statement would be "An increasing number of homeowners in St. Louis are being gunned down by intruders." I guess that would be more noble to the antis.

It really doesn't sound like a big deal. The DA will look at those cases a little closer.
In Texas, as I understand it, if you kill someone it MUST go to a grand jury. This is our "higher level of scrutiny".

For the liberals in office. It cuts down on the number of people voting for them in an election.SRH78 wrote:This is a bad thing?"An increasing number of intruders in St. Louis are being gunned down by homeowners"
I am not and have never been a LEO. My avatar is in honor of my friend, Dallas Police Sargent Michael Smith, who was murdered along with four other officers in Dallas on 7.7.2016.
