Driving in Chechnya

They claim this is Chechnya, but honestly I could see it being filmed in Houston.

I've only been overseas to the Dominican Republic and Japan.

Japanese drivers are pretty good. There was lots of traffic, but no crazy accidents.

My taxi driver in the DR would go screeching through a T intersection sideways at 40 mph blowing through the stop sign.

You never asked your Japanese Taxi-Driver to "go Kamikaze"? When I was young and even stupider (I like that word), my buddies and I would tip the driver and have him "go Kamikaze"!

Okay, I drove in Sicily...and there are some CRAZY drivers there. First off, all the backroads are winding and narrow. The Navy LEO that gave us the traffic brief pointed out that there was a sign at the front gate to the installation that showed how many Americans had accidents for the year, injuries for the year, and yes, deaths for the year...indeed, I had an accident while on a temporary duty trip there (thank goodness it was a Europcar rental). BUT, at least no-one ever held an AK out the window and popped off rounds or simply shoved our car off the road ON PURPOSE...that business is absolutely INSANE.

Been to Europe a few times. The last time the wife and I took one day each and rode around Paris and Rome on one of those double deck tour buses. They were cool and you could relax and listen to the descriptions and get off to explore whenever you wanted. What was interesting, though, was being able to look down and watch the traffic flow. Rome was the most interesting. Those scooter and motorcycle riders are crazy over there. All those cobblestone avenues with no lines for the lanes is just insane compared to the uniformity we're used to over here.

wow, that video has quite the surprising end. The AK stuff was nothing compared to the SUV ramming the volvo and just taking off... that shocked me.
