As the name indicates, this is the place for gun-related political discussions. It is not open to other political topics.

Not sure if this has been posted before but here is a link to leave them a comment on their web site:

I left a long winded thank you and gave them my opinion of the situation.

I'm doing the exact opposite of a boycott. I'm going to buy my wife a care package made of items bought at Starbucks.

I could not find anything concerning how many members these people have, or their finances. Anyone know anything?

I think their “boycott” will fall flat. "rlol" They just don't seem to understand the concept. It will be fun to see what they say when the "boycott" actually improves Starbuck's business, or if they just ignore it. :leaving

nearly a third (32%) of coffee drinkers recommend morning coffee with a significant other as the best way to have a healthy relationship. The morning treat even beat out buying flowers (9%), going to the nicest restaurant in town (6%), and making grand gestures like buying jewelry (2%) as the top tip to have a healthy, happy relationship.

I can't drink coffee It makes me sick in the stomach. I don't know why.
I went into a Starbucks today for the first time ever. I bought up as
much coffee as I could and took it home to my wife as a valentines present.
She really likes coffee. I will keep her well supplied with Starbuck coffee
until long after the boycott ends. :reddevil

I've been toying with the idea of leaving a letter to the manager. I suspect that, here in Texas, they may not even know that they are being boycotted that day. I cannot imagine that the group of lunatics responsible for calling the boycott has much clout in the Lewisville, TX area. While I'm happy to be part of helping their overall revenue stream for the day, I'd like to make sure they understand the whole scope of the thing.

Thoughts?
Pay, and tip, with $2 bills.
This is a great idea. Has this been mentioned on other pro gun forums or other national media?

It would be great to see Starbucks have their greatest business on V day. It would also make a big statement to the anti’s that they are in the very small minority.

Here is what I wrote on their facebook page. "I'm sure this will be deleted from this page because this is a one sided organization. I dont understand why you are against legal citizens who have never been in any kind of trouble, who have proven to to their states as well as passing FBI back ground checks from being able to carry a handgun to protect themselves. What is wrong with you? Evidently you have someone there to protect you and your family anytime you need it. Don't tell me it is the police either. I am an avid supporter of my local law enforcement but they are not going to be there to protect me, they are going to be there to take a report afterwords. You are wrong and your cause is wrong. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Oh and I will be at Starbucks along with thousands of other responsible gun owners on Feb 14th and ever day after that on my morning commute to work to support Starbucks and their belief that they will not be bullied by a groups of people who are sheep like and depend on others to protect them. Have a nice day."

AS I sit in Starbucks and think about my experience this morning. ( I brought my laptop in to give a report) I walked in and got a friendly greeting by the staff. I ordered a black coffee and payed the man with $2.00 bills. When he gave me my change,I gave him a tip and he said. "Have a great day and be safe." I'm pretty sure he knew what the $2.00 bills meant. All in all a good experience, the coffee was not bad either.

Besides getting some coffee and one of their breakfast sandwiches for myself, I will be picking up some gift cards for the kids.

I can't handle the coffee, but I'll go and get a Raspberry Chai Iced Tea at lunch. I don't have a two dollar bill, can I just tape two one's together?

In Starbucks now with small Pikes Place (I STILL refuse to order my coffee size in Italian :grumble ) and a multi-grain bagel.

Will be taking a Hallmark Day Starbucks surprise to my wife at work later this morning.
