WTS Star Ultrastar 9mm single-stack (Houston)

Post by ml1209 »

This gun is in nice shape. Comes with (2) factory single-stack magazines holding 9 rounds each. A factory magazine can go for $45.

Here is a good review of the Ultrastar. Low bore-axis, solid feel despite polymer frame, and to me, it's just a good-looking pistol. Also, very comfortable grip due to it being single-stack. This is like a single-stack Glock 19.

No trades. $365 FTF via FFL (which I will pay for)

I carried a Star Firestar for a while back in the late 90's. Was my first .40. I had a pistol range at the house at the time and put a lot of trouble free rounds through it. My only two quibbles were the weight (it was all steel, "Starvel" finish) and a lot of the surfaces were rough and pointy, making it not so comfortable for carry.

Looks like this one is much smoother and lighter with the polymer frame. Nice.

GLWTS.

That is probably the last firearm made by the Star company, which was in business for 80 years and made a lot of fine pistols. Right now I have 9 of their products, and they are all keepers.
Well, all but one, which is a duplicate ;-)
