Movie "Alien Raiders"

Post by AEA »

Watching it on ch 323 Showtime Beyond (Dish Network).

It's a low budget movie about a bunch of nuts taking a grocery store and all shoppers/staff hostage, looking for and killing what they believe to be Alien's hiding inside (who are disguised as regular people).

Strange movie that's for sure and I normally don't watch junk like this, but there was a good shot so I thought I would post it here.

In the first 15min or so while they are rounding up everyone in the store, there is one guy they encounter who is a Police Officer in plain clothes (with jacket). When the bad guy approaches him and commands him to follow him, the BG is distracted for 1/2 second and the Cop pulls from cover and nails the guy with one shot.

This was a pretty good example of how us CHL's should INITIALLY respond if we choose to engage or otherwise have no other option.

Unfortunately, while engaging another BG he looses his sense of awareness while backing up between isles and a 3rd BG blows him away with a 12ga. The Cop did manage to call in the takeover to his PD before he got shot.

Rest of the movie is pretty lame.....but if it runs again you should have a look at the first 15min or so. The Cop did have a backup revolver in an ankle holster found by one of the staff and left there on him for the time being.........

Not sure if I am gonna be able to watch the rest of it cause it is pretty lame. "rlol"

Just me and a BUNCH of nuts? I carry quite a few rounds, but I'm outta there ASAP. Unless backed into a corner I would try not to get into a fire fight with even one nut, let alone a bunch.
I am not and have never been a LEO. My avatar is in honor of my friend, Dallas Police Sargent Michael Smith, who was murdered along with four other officers in Dallas on 7.7.2016.

I saw that movie and was impressed with the shot taken by the police officer. I wish the rest of movie's gun play was as good as that single scene.

description reminds me of this scene from tv show "The West Wing" - Mark Harmon is a Secret Service agent who stumbles upon a convencience store robbery ...

important part for our discussion stops at about 1:30 mark but video plays a while longer

I've actually used this video in class to ask the students if they feel they're ready, willing, and able to use their concealed gun to stop a robbery in progress
