The part that bothers me is about real weapons made to look like toys...what constitutes that? A "gunkote" type paint job? What about those little pink bolt actions made to appeal to the younger female shooters? Is that toylike? Always a backdoor method in the works, in the supposed interest of "public safety", instead of just using the laws that are on the books to put the bad guys away...

Let's see. I'm going to commit a felony. Oops, I have a toy gun without the orange tip. Guess I can't commit the felony. I could get in trouble due to the toy gun.If the legislation is passed, people who possess these toy guns and use it to commit a felony, would be punishable for up to 18 months behind bars and be subject to fines.
Yeah, that's going to work, right?

This incident was a problem why? We now need to save violent gang members from their own stupidity?Supporters of the proposed legislation have also cited a recent case where a police officer was forced to shoot a gang member who was aiming a toy gun without its required markings. Jones believes this proposal will be vital in preventing incidents such as this from occurring in the future.

I fail to see the problem; sounds like evolution in action to me....
