Re: Call me irresponsible FIRST LOOK
Sorry I was out of town and just got the LW15 lower on Monday. I am impressed. Is it the best lower I've ever seen? No, but then it functions perfectly and has a decent trigger group. I've been using a dry fire adapter from my HighPower gun and the trigger is getting smoother with use - not that it was rough, just slightly tight. I have not even treated it to my usual dose of CLP.
The stock appears good to go. Quiet and appears sturdy. Very slight rattle if shaken hard. The buffer is the correct carbine one.
Mags work and drop free...only some mil mags of questionable pedigree rattle just a tiny bit.
I tried several uppers and true to claim they are nice and tight. The takedown pins are tight and sure.
This lower looks good to me. Would I throw it from the door of a hovering helicopter? No. But I wouldn't try that with any of my guns. I am amazed at the quality for $99. I recommend you try one and see for yourself.

Re: Call me irresponsible if you like...
For those of you that have reserved an LW-15 lower from me...NFA was supposed to ship them yesterday. I'm still working on getting a tracking number, but for sure I will have them by the end of next week

Re: Call me irresponsible if you like...
this has got me thinking of doing a build, but I have a few questions. Which parts require a ffl and which one can I just order on the net? I was thinking of ordering a kit and getting a striped lower to go with it.
Of course momma is looking at me with that cocked eye when I talked about this so it may take a little longer than planned. Any help will be appreciated as I don't own one and have not built one before.
thanks

For those of you waiting for the LW-15 lowers: They have arrived! I'm logging them into my books even now. If you sent me a PM, I will be letting each of you know shortly. Have to appease the ATF gods first
Hawk44: The only think you need to get from an FFL is a stripped receiver. Everything else from start to finish you can get via mail order. Have fun!

Re: Call me irresponsible if you like...
wow, $99 for the lower, and midway usa sells upper for $373, front sight $20, rear sight $14 = $506 for a complete AR-15 style rifle! That's cheaper than what I paid for my AK! That's cheaper than a Bass Pro Glock!
Re: Call me irresponsible if you like...
Then rails=$60, tactical light= $40, Harris bipod= $90, mags=$20, sling=$15, nice carry case=$75, laser=$50, red dot sight=$60..... AR15 is like a drug dealer-the first taste is cheap then you go broke! These are low end prices too. I have seen guys with more money than sense spend $1g+ on accessories for a $600 rifle.drjoker wrote:wow, $99 for the lower, and midway usa sells upper for $373, front sight $20, rear sight $14 = $506 for a complete AR-15 style rifle!
