Mail in Original Certified Copies?

If a person has to send copies as proof of a court disposition, would you mail in the originals that you received in the mail or make copies of the certified copies and retain the originals? Anyone know what the DPS wants?
The laws that forbid the carrying of arms... disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes.
