White House Petition

Post by Kythas »

The White House has a website where people can create petitions for other people to sign for redress of grievances or other things they wish government to address.

Some of these petitions are to:
commit to veto any extension of the Bush tax cuts for the 1%;
have the FCC investigate Rush Limbaugh;
remove "In God We Trust" from the Pledge of Allegiance;

However, this particular petition inspired me to create an account on there and sign it!

Beautiful.! The person who drafted that petition has an incredibly succinct way with words. Nothing wasted. Poetry.!

Nixon resigned because if he had not, he would have been impeached, found guilty, removed from office, and likely have been tried in criminal court for criminal actions committed during his term in office. Everyone has an opinion, and everyone thinks they are right. The president always has supporters and detractors, but before you go too far, take a look and see if your views are based on some act the POTUS can be charged with. I know many people, many of them military, who view Bush Jr. as a lousy leader--having allowed Rumsfeld and Chaney talk him into Iraq. They didn't encourage him (or demand) that he resign.

Does actively covering up how their scheme of running guns to the cartels so they could blame US citizens and undermine the constitution deserve resignation in your mind?

Heck, Nixon lied. Holder and Obama got a Border Patrol agent KILLED with their little "fast and furious" business, not to mention who knows how many others.....all with the goal of restricting our constitutional rights.

If that doesn't deserve a resignation and a retirement lived in shame and solitude, I don't know what the heck does. :mad5
