So Kansas is trying hard to get CHL's to be able to carry on campus, but the schools have resisted. I think it is a perfect idea, if there is a crime on campus, then the college is liable, since they do not allow campus carry. Maybe the insurance costs will make them rethink their position. The bill also made them immune from liability for CHL's who do carry on campus.

Seems reasonable. You prohibit guns, your liable. You allow guns, your not liable.

It seems somewhat ironic to me that the institutions of higher learning, those that profess to provide progressive enlightenment, are the last ones to see the light in this instance.

Not so fast, but there's still a chance. I heard this morning that a couple of groups got them to exclude colleges and universities. I think it goes up for a vote tomorrow.
