Shotgun Sling
I've been looking at slings for my Maverick and there are a LOT of choices out there. I think that I want a single point that will attach to my Phoenix stock. I use the gun at work sometimes so I have to hold it at the low ready for 30 - 90 minutes at a time. Any reccomendations will be appreciated.

Don't have any recommendations for a sling but how did your shotgun perform after the repair? I assume if you're confident enough to use it at work it must be good to go?papajohn1964 wrote:I've been looking at slings for my Maverick and there are a LOT of choices out there. Re: Shotgun Sling
Haven't had a chance to get to the range yet. But I figure if it does work then all is good if it dosent work I will go buy a Mossberg 500 so I can use the stock that I have. Either way I want to get a sling.

Re: Shotgun Sling
Finally got to the range today and fired 50 mixed 00 and 7 1/2 and had no problems at all except it started to dry out but I havent put any oil on it yet and I did fire those 50 rounds in about an hour. I will have no issues trusting it at work or using it for home defense.
Now about that sling...no ideas from anybody?

Re: Shotgun Sling
Thanks for the report. I've been too busy going back and forth to see kids and grandkids to go shoot. Now we have all 5 grandkids for 9 days. Herding cats comes to mind. Glad the Mavvy is fixed. The only slings I use are Brownell Latigo Quick Slings, sorry!papajohn1964 wrote:Finally got to the range today and fired 150 mixed 00 and 7 1/2 and had no problems at all except it started to dry out but I havent put any oil on it yet and I did fire those 150 rounds in about 45 minutes.
