Florida "Anti" billboard - maybe not

Post by Divided Attention »

This billboard is the Brady Bunch attempt at negative - personally I find it reassuring and straightforward. Image

Looking at it again I just noticed that the gun is shaped like the state of Florida. ..Those clever Brady people.

We had that happen at a CHL qualification a couple of weeks ago. Man was taking a renewal. His gun wasn't firing on the first relay. I went over as he started the second and saw a shiny object 'spit' out of the barrel and go about 3 yards. He was shooting a .45, but forgot he had put a box of 9mm in his bag (his wife had the 9mm) and had been loading his mags with it. The firing pin was striking the round hard enough to eject the whole enchilada out of the barrel and about 9 feet. Needless to say he was pretty embarrassed.

As for the sign, I think it is great. Maybe it was designed by one of the the NRA moles that is working for the Brady Campaign. :evil2:

great sign, they should post those at all "criminal beware locations" ( Like any place not a "gun-free zone")

I think they could tell visiting criminals "Please behave" it might be better than "Please be careful" because some careful ones still get caught.

Perhaps

It shows their true agenda --eliminating the right to self-defense and protecting criminals. They're clearly less upset by guns, and very much more upset by the notion that someone might defend himself against a thug.

Here's a test for you: Take your 1911, MAKE SURE IT IS UNLOADED, turn it upward, cock the hammer and drop a pencil, eraser down, into the barrel. Pull the trigger and see how high it goes. If your firing pin spring is what it needs to be, the pencil will hit the ceiling. :thumbs2:

We need those for Texas!
Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes... (Jefferson quoting Beccaria)

... tyrants accomplish their purposes ...by disarming the people, and making it an offense to keep arms. - Supreme Court Justice Joseph Story, 1840
