Spikes restocking time?

Post by x007x »

Hello, was seeing if anyone is familiar to Spikes tactical. As in, when your ordered a Spikes item from a site and it was out of stock; how long did it take for the restock?

Are you ordering from spikes directly?

A friend and myself ordered a couple pairs of lowers this past month from AIM surplus. the first order of two was Out of Stock. We signed up for the email notice and a few days later got the notice and placed an order. they were out of stock again by that same evening.

similarly, signed up for email notice on other lowers at the same time. those took about a week for the notice. purchased and then checking the site saw they were out of stock that same evening again. this was last week. this second pair of lowers are in at our FFL today, in fact.

so, one month & four lowers. no big deal on any significant wait.

I know. I am ordering from AIM, and i got lucky with my lower receiver..I saw it go in stock then back out of stock the same day..I checked yesterday and they had some in and I ordered it and checked 10 min later, and it was out of stock..I am just waiting for the bolt and upper receiver.
I also talked to ST by email, and they said 8-12 weeks wait.

Well it’s pretty hard to get a hold of Spikes parts right now. I want to build my upper but since the parts are hard to come by, I’ve been keeping my eye on a complete spikes ML upper that is basically what I want to build. Joeboboutfitters.com told me they got some in yesterday and sold out of them in 5min! It took them 8 weeks to get them in. Wish I would have seen the email in time. Good luck in your search.

You might be in for a looong wait. My 6-8 week wait for my rifle turned into 12 weeks very quickly last spring/summer. By all accounts, things are going to take loner and longer through at least November. Something about an election, I think. :headscratch

Maybe you'll get lucky though, and they'll have 'em out pronto.

I can't remember which company responded to me, but they said the elections were effecting the ETA and shipments.

Well, I guess I’ll bite the bullet and pay the MSRP price at Spikes for their complete upper and wait 6 to 12 weeks. Might as well wait for 1 part to come instock rather than multiple parts and I’m too slow to catch the discounted ones from other venders. If anyone has any suggestions for a comparable upper to this one that is instock and about the same quality let me know. Guess I’ll wait until Monday.
