I think the Glock is the better gun. I am a glock fan and feel it is the ideal handgun. The Glock shines in 9mm.

May I throw another bone in the fight? If your not going to daily carry it...that is ranger and nightstand duty, consider the Sig 226? Fantastic for competition gun. Secret Service, SEALS and Texas Rangers can't all be wrong! Most accurate gun I ever shot. Try the E2 package that comes with short trigger, short trigger reset and the new E2 grips. Got mine $650 new online.

I'm a big fan of the Beretta 92 for 9mm. At work we have Glock 17s, but can carry our own. Most of the time I carry a Beretta. The G17 is a good gun, but the Beretta just shoots better in my hand.

Going with the XD. Will try and hunt down a 5" version. Saw a 5" 40 this morning and really like the feel.

Appreciate all the voting and opinions.
