BAD NEWS TODAY

Post by Ranger+P+ »

Got a call this evening that one of my good friends, Chris Nance was killed in Iraq today. He was working for a different security company than me at the time, reports are sketchy, but it looks as if they were ambushed and hit with RPG/mortar fire. He was 33, married with 1 child. He was ex/USMC (1st Recon) decorated with bronze star. I worked with him last year in Iraq, although he was a current blood brother as a Marine, we became really close friends. We ate some of the same dirt together, many times.

He was one of the best soldiers and MarinesI ever knew, I will grieve his loss. Remember him today when you can, and say a prayer for his wife and 2 year old little girl.

I will be flying out to Virginia at the request of the family to receive Chris' body and help lay him to rest at his home near Richmond. I have decided to stay in Virginia for as long as his family needs me, I am prepared to do whatever it takes to help them thru this.

All plans for the rally are on hold for now, I am sorry to all the people involved, but this is life....

Condolences, and my prayers are with his family and yours.
