Voter ID Notice

Post by Oldgringo »

We received new voter registration cards in the mail today along with a notice that pending USDoJ approval, photo ID cards would be required for 2012 elections.

One of the approved cards listed was your/my Texas CH License!!!!

If everybody in the state has already got this notice, please flush this post.

Yes, if the photo ID requirement is implemented, a Texas CHL, a DPS identification, will serve at the polling place.

Remember -- leave that which the CHL permits, far away from the polling site!

There have been several boring posts, over time, as to whether the Texas CHL was a recognized form of identification. It appears that it may be acceptable to the Vote Police of Texas if Eric "the man" Holder approves it, eh?

The anti voter fraud legislation in Texas specifically lists a CHL as acceptable ID in the law,

Eric "Official Murder Weapon Supplier to Mexican Drug Gangs" Holder has nothing to do with it.
I believe the basic political division in this country is not between liberals and conservatives but between those who believe that they should have a say in the personal lives of strangers and those who do not.

I would bet that few of them would qualify for a CHL...

Are they listed on a terrorist watch group.

Would that be a list maintained by Eric Holder?

Due to his office I think he would have influence.

Then I think you can guess the answer as well as I.

Holder provided guns to narco-terrorists. It's no much of a stretch to think he would do the same for domestic terror groups, especially if they're felons and it's illegal.

Actually the DOJ sued Texas regarding the Voter ID requirements. Of course they claim it's unfair to the poor and minorities to have to prove who they are. Not sure that it's been resolved yet. That's why our primary elections have been (indefinitely?) delayed.

...they don't mind identifying when they're getting their Texas Star or welfare, or free medical...just when they're voting...

This surprises me. Recently moved back from Indiana and we've had to show a photo ID for several years. I honestly see no problem with it.
