I have Hornady Critical Defense ammo in my .380. I did my own ballistic tests in several calibers. The rounds penetrated and expanded perfectly.
Choosing a gun is mostly a personal choice. Walther has a great reputation. There are a lot of choices out there for pistols with a safety. None of my pistols have a safety except for the xd45 grip safety.
