While it would have been nice to see MD roll over, did anyone actually expect that to happen?... No surprise here.
On the upside.... When SCOTUS upholds the lower court ruling, it will then be clear that anything less than "Shall Issue" is both a violation of the Second Amendment as well as outside the realm of "necessary and proper".
