Traffic Stop Question
Hello Everyone!
It's been nice the last week I've been carrying! I have a question--If my wife and I are in a car and she is driving--we get pulled over, should I show my CHL? Thanks for your advice.

Re: Traffic Stop Question
Why would a woman be driving if there is a man in the car?DSARGE wrote:Hello Everyone!

JUST KIDDING!!!!!

You are only required to show your CHL if a Peace Officer (or Magistrate) demands that you identify yourself AND you are carrying your handgun.
To answer the question; must you show your CHL as passenger, the answer is no.
The answer to the question of should you depends on the context of the word should. (don't you love these kinds of answers)
There is no legal reason why you should; however, there may be other compelling reasons why you might want to.
If the gun is not on your person but in the console, glovebox, between the seats, etc, you probably should inform the officer of your status.
Personally, as the passenger of any vehicle I plan to just keep my mouth closed unless the situation dictates otherwise.

All guns have at least two safeties. One's digital, one's cognitive. In other words - keep the digit off the trigger until ready to fire, and THINK. Some guns also have mechanical safeties on top of those. But if the first two don't work, the mechanical ones aren't guaranteed. - me

Sometimes a man gets tired...
I just pull over and TELL my woman to drive...Yeah!
I get into the passenger seat, and TELL her I'm taking a nap! And thats just the way it is...
(then I wake up from that dream)

Mrs. Anygun very very seldom drives me.
She is along to sit on the passenger side, admire the way I row gears, compliment me on the choice of music, and look good on the way to whereever we are going.
Well, at least that is the way it happens most of the time.
