Re: Gnat Shooting
That does look like a bunch of fun. I wonder if they let semi-autos play?
I am not and have never been a LEO. My avatar is in honor of my friend, Dallas Police Sargent Michael Smith, who was murdered along with four other officers in Dallas on 7.7.2016.

Re: Gnat Shooting
Infantry school back in the late 70s used to use a Styrofoam RC planes to teach troops how to shoot down real planes. If our luck with those were any indication a platoon would have to expend about 1000 rounds to even hit a plane.C-dub wrote:That does look like a bunch of fun. I wonder if they let semi-autos play?

Looks like a lot of fun. I tip my hat to the pilot!
When I saw the title Gnat Shooting I thought of an article I read as a kid. Ted Trueblood reviewed a Winchester .22 smoothbore rifle (ok, long gun) and he was going after grasshoppers and dragon flies. At the end of the day his bag limit fit in an empty .22 cartridge box.
