Sig P238 Sights Issue

Post by gdanaher »

My wife recently bought a new Sig P238. After some time on the range she complained that it was sighted off a bit and shot to the left. I used a laser bore sight to check and sure enough it's off a smidge. If I was adventuresome I might give the rear sight a little tap with a drift and small hammer but it isn't immediately apparent how it is fitted in place. The rear sight is in fact off center a bit from the factory and centering it would resolve the problem. Anyone around to offer suggestions? Yes, taking it to a gunsmith is high on the list.

This one doesn't belong in the Marketplace section. Moving it to General Shooting so that it will get more views and replies.

You have to have a Sig Sight pushing tool. If you get on the Sig Forum, there are guys that will loan these out, then you are to send them to the next person asking. If it is still new, call Sig and tell them it was off from factory. They should send you a label to send it back.
