I.D. This Robbery Gun

cliffs

local guy gets his jewelry store robbed last week

this morning, some chummer tries to rob him again

bullets fly

owner shot once thru the leg, but he's ok

robber shot 4 times, quart low, but survives

used this gun

what is it?

I first thought a Ruger MkII as well. If not that, it kind of looks like a .44 Automag

At first glance I thought it might be a knock-off of the old Spanish Astra or thereabouts.

Seriously, though, although it appears to be bigger than .22 it doesn't appear too much bigger.
I am not and have never been a LEO. My avatar is in honor of my friend, Dallas Police Sargent Michael Smith, who was murdered along with four other officers in Dallas on 7.7.2016.
