Great video from the ISS. Earth at night. Cities look like rivers of lava. Surprised at all the thunderstorms. Great shot of the aurora borealis.

Cool!
I am not a lawyer, nor have I played one on TV, nor did I stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night, nor should anything I say be taken as legal advice. If it is important that any information be accurate, do not use me as the only source.

That's more than cool. Awesome! What is amazing is that this is real and not some computer generated graphic.Dave2 wrote:Cool!

I know it's the ISS, but the USA made it happen.

Re: Time lapsed video from the ISS
I actually had several amateur radio contacts with the Russian MIR space station (before it fell out of orbit), 3 different shuttles and the ISS. I actually coordinated the first SAREX (Shuttle Amateur Radio EXperiment) in Missouri between a elementary school and the space shuttle. Making those contacts was pretty neat. One of the shuttle contacts I made was especially memorable as I got to talk to one of the mission specialists on board who was from the town I was living in. I had become friends with her before the contact when she and I were judges at a district science fair. I ended up seeing her again the next year at the science fair again when she returned to help judge, and have been able to see her briefly a couple of times when I have gone to JSC in Houston for the annual balloon festival.
