Campbell/Jones/Wentworth - Dist. 25

Post by UpTheIrons »

I'm feeling all kinds of anti-incumbent this year, but I'm a bit puzzled here. Those of you in State Senate District 25 know what an acrimonious campaign (fight, really) Jones and Wentworth are in.

I like Campbell to a degree, but she seems to be racing from district to district, house to senate, trying to get elected every election cycle. She's NRA A-rated and the Tea Party darling, but something just doesn't add up - too many races and no wins.

Jones is acting like a carpetbagging ninny, and she's off the table as far as I'm concerned.

Wentworth has served well, and is a great friend of the 2A and even the Campus Carry movement, but his days are numbered. If only 1% of what Jones is alleging about him is true, he is simply becoming another "insider" who is less and less concerned with us "outsiders".

I'm not saying I believe a word of what Jones is prattling on about, but I'm not 100% sold on voting for Wentworth again, either. This race will probably go to a runoff, and I don't really want to vote against anyone, but for a candidate.

Anyone have some sage advice for my confused self?

That's not my district but I personally have a hard time voting for any incumbent as long as I have to disarm to vote.

I understand some people say they're worried about voter intimidation but concealed means concealed. So a concealed handgun intimidates nobody. Realistically, I think if they're honestly concerned about voter intimidation, they wouldn't let police carry at voting sites because traditionally in The South it was the local Sheriff and his men who prevented minorities from voting.
When in doubt
Vote them out!

Donna Campbell has only run for office once before - is that really "too many"? It's Jones who has been race-hopping to avoid losses.

This race will probably go to a runoff - between whom I'm not sure - but however it turns out, gun owners (and campus carry supporters, if what I hear about EAJ is true) will have someone willing to fight for them. :)

Campbell may well have only run once before. I'm so tired of hearing all these names over and over that I probably mixed her up with someone else. Thanks for the correction. :tiphat:

I'm glad that we're in good hands firearms-issues-wise, but I'm STILL undecided - this one's going down to a game-time decision tomorrow.
