Lubbock Gunsmith? Range?

I need a gunsmith in Lubbock who can install a front sight on an XD45.
Ideally, I'd like it sighted in to shoot low, like a Taurus, rather than high like a Glock ... I have the sight and shims.

I'll only be in town about a week, so if they have a 6 month backlog ....

And perhaps they have a range where I could shoot/test it?
Too hot for my uncle to go fishing, (as if there were fish in Lubbock ) I'm leaving the Kayak at home ... but he might enjoy a day at the range with me.

Recommendations?

(I'd love getting that sight installed while I'm there.)

I'll mostly be around the Gene Messer Toyota area, (6102 W.19th Street) but anywhere in Lubbock is fine, I have relatives all over that city.

I understand that Rustic Range in Slaton is closed now or will be shortly.

I'll hit a phone book and ask cousins up there I guess on a gunsmith ... really anyone with a front sight pusher for an XD would work ,,, if none at all ... maybe an impact wrench

If I can't get it done then/there ... then maybe around New Braunfels /San Marcos next month

There is "a guy" with a sight pusher I heard about here, and I don't even care if a slide gets scratched a bit ... I put the rear sight on, but the front dovetail is so tight ... I saw a youtube vid of a guy using an impact tool ...

Anyone who can do it I'd be happy... Come to think of it, I better fire the thing first ... If I like it, I'll add an internal laser too
I got it because it was stainless, has a thumb safety in .45 and I hear XDs are almost as good as my Glocks and my Glocks have these sights and internal lasers (mainly laser to set the sights correctly.

Only planned activities so far are
1) go to a Sears Store
2) Drop car at Gene Messer for State Inspection and maybe a PCV valve change or oil change and buy a rubber window trim if they have one (niece tore it a little playing)

head back to central Tx hill country on 12th
was going to go to a dentures place in Lubbock (prices are better than in Austin), but will probably go to one in New Braunfels/San Marcos so I can visit rivers and creeks I like....


And I don't know what I can talk my uncle into ... he's 82 but fairly active

Went to AAA Boot & Shoe Repair Shop 5409 4th St, Lubbock, Monday and they said the Barber next door "works on guns" but they close on Mondays.... so then we went home to my Uncles and had a haboob storm with dust wind and rain

Tuesday we went and ate Seoul Korean Food on 50th Street (still GREAT food, but still no barley tea) and I said pull into Walgreens I'll get a weather radio for you and just happened to notice right BEHIND Walgreens is Sharp Shooters Inc. 5062 50th Street ... this place has more guns than I've seen in a while, said they'd change my sight for $20 and we ran to my uncles house, got my XD, Visited with the fellows a while and he changed it at no charge which was the best price I've heard

This is turning out to be a great vacation week so far, I fixed my uncle's plumbing under his sink, got him a new weather radio, Lubbock church was great, I imagine I'll go to one in Littlefield next Sunday after a family reunion on Saturday in Lubbock.

Don't know if I'll get time to go to Patriot Range or not ...

I hope you bought a lottery ticket after you got that sight changed for a great price. Sharp Shooters is known for a great selection and having stuff that no one else can get, they are also known for their high prices.
