San Antonio: Night Sights install

Does anybody know someone or a good place in the SA area to have night sights installed? I am finally getting around to order some and would like to have them installed, it is for a Glock 26 and Beretta PX4, I have read the Glock is easy to do but everything I have read says the PX4 is not.

Glock 26 you may/almost can can do by yourself.

I installed roughly 20 sets of Glock sights over the years.

Front sight will need a hex/socket type front sight tool, which comes with some sets of sights (Advantage Tactical sights includes the tool ... I installed triijicon meprolights and PT night sights on Glocks in the 1980s, I forget if they include the tool or not)

I use blue Loctite.... not red; you may want to change them again when they go dim if you use night sights... blue lets you.

I don't know much about San Antonio other than the best Korean Restaurants ... someone will probably be along later that does.

( It was one of the first restaurants I walked into after getting my CHL, I was in San Antonio buying a kayak trailer stopped into my fav restaurant ... saw blue sign, went back to car put gun away, walked back in, read blue sign, walked back to car, got my gun, went back in to eat) Oddly, there's a Korean food restaurant in Lubbock that's almost as good ... I"ll be eating there next week some time.

Now Koreana Restaurant is more relaxed and the food is better than any other I had in San Antonio, Austin, or Kileen

I had Korean home cooking for 5 years, and not a fan of non-authentic food.

20 years ago there was one in a strip center on the opposite side of the street (Harry Wurzbach ) which was more "home cooking" style in that they always had iced barley tea.
20 years ago the one on the Koreana Restaurant side of the street was more formal, dark and empty (they only had pan cooked fire meat/"barbeque" beef ... instead of cooked on a fire (barbequed)

I don't know what happened to the one in the strip center, food was good, they liked to make fun of the sweaty white people who were not used to kimchi and chili peppers. They'd bring one of those 16" oscillating fans on a stand to your table and aim it at you ... wasn't as clean looking as Koreana, but was a good food place. Koreana is where I go now if I'm within 70 miles of San Antonio ... it's worth the detour IMHO they have an after dinner type tea real sweet sort of a mint desert tea, I forget the name of it, its the only place I ever had it.

San Antonio, TX ,,, sounds familiar ... may be the other one I used to go to and thought it was on the opposite side of the Street.
My GPS "went out" couldn't get a signal once when I was there, and my memory "went out" long before that.

I live in SA, too (Leon Valley area). I'm thinking about getting some night sights for my P238. I have yellow nail polish as their sights now since the regular contrast sights started to wear off.

I just hate paying the amount it takes a gunsmith to install them. I hear it costs just as much as the sights themselves (ymmv)

I took my 1911 to Dury's and they had excellent customer service. One of the few good gun shops around in my opinion.

Thanks that is where I planed to take them, I had another recommendation from a friend of mine for them, I have only been in there once since I don't get to that part of town often, they were pretty helpful and friendly which is a lot more than the other shops I have been to here.

It could look like Broomhilda's ugly stepsister but since they 1) allow one handed operation and 2) allow faster sight acquisition than any other type of sights (simply make a triangle) and 3) are designed with multiple slopes and are less likely to snag unintentionally than Novak snagless ... I love them but I put orange rear, yellow front They are on all my XDs and Glocks, when shopping for a gun, I won't buy the gun if they don't make ATS sights for it ... I'm spoiled.

My wife bought herself a carry gun there. From what I saw the sales crew was more knowledgeable than most gun shops have. Also have excellent selection, both new & used. Don't have first hand knowledge of gun smithing services but bet they're probably pretty good, at least for basic stuff.

While their prices seem a bit high, there good service and life time warranty on all the guns they sell make it worth it.
