Self Defense Shotgun: Mag Plug?

Is a mag plug required for a SD shotgun? Or is that only for hunting?

A plug is required only for hunting of migratory game birds. For hunting quail (or other non migratory birds) and self defense load as many as will fit. Even better, get a mag extension tube and load up 9 or 10 rounds.

PLUG? Actually you need a mag tube extension!!!!
I have a (+2) 7 shot Remington 870!
In about 1 min I can covert it for game birds or clays by switching from a 18in SD slug barrel to a 26in and switching the extension with the green plug.
